Job Description
KGS Actuarial Services team is providing premium actuarial services to KPMG member firms globally, with a primary focus on the UK and US markets. We are seeking a dedicated Actuarial Analyst to join our collaborative and high-performing team in Bangalore. You will work on a diverse range of actuarial tasks, including non-life reserving, actuarial audits, and regulatory compliance, while leveraging cutting-edge technology and machine learning methodologies.
Requirements
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree with a strong academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science.
- Successful completion of at least 4 actuarial exams from IFoA (UK), SoA/CAS (US), or IAI (India).
- 0-1 years of professional experience within the insurance business or financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and analytical software tools for complex data visualization and modeling.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain professional relationships with international stakeholders.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
Responsibilities
- Analyze historical claims data to identify trends, document findings, and support actuarial modeling.
- Develop and maintain MS-Excel based actuarial tools, applying triangulation methods for loss reserve estimations.
- Assist in Statement of Actuarial Opinions (SAO) and conduct rigorous actuarial audits and benchmarking against market standards.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements including Solvency II and IFRS17, ensuring validation and consistency.
- Collaborate with onshore engagement managers and partners to provide regular updates and discuss technical solutions.
