Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimation & Billing Engineer to manage cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and client billing for our projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in civil, electrical, or MEP works, with experience in tendering, rate analysis, BOQ preparation, and client invoicing. This role ensures accurate costing during bidding and timely, error-free billing during execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in estimation and billing within contracting or construction firms.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (like Candy, CostX, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of rate analysis, tender processes, and measurement methods (IS codes).
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and documentation skills.
- Good communication skills for coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Estimation:.
- Study project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Prepare quantity take-offs for civil, electrical, and ELV/security system works.
- Analyze materials, labor, and subcontracting costs to develop competitive quotations.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for rates and technical clarifications.
- Support the tendering process including pre-bid queries, pricing sheets, and bid submissions.
- Billing:.
- Prepare running account (RA) bills, final bills, and reconciliation statements.
- Coordinate with site teams to verify executed quantities and measurements.
- Prepare client invoices based on executed work and contract terms.
- Ensure timely certification and approval of bills from clients/consultants.
- Prepare subcontractor billing and verify quantities claimed vs executed.
- General:.
- Maintain project cost control documentation and BOQ variations.
- Monitor and report on material consumption, deviations, and billing status.
- Assist in claims, variations, and extra item justifications.
- Ensure compliance with project contracts, specifications, and applicable codes.
