GenAI Trainee

L&T Precision Engineering & Systems is seeking a motivated GenAI Trainee to join our Innovation Campus in Powai. As a trainee, you will collaborate with experienced Data Scientists and AI Engineers to develop, test, and deploy intelligent solutions that drive industrial innovation.

• Bachelor or Master of Technology (BTech/MTech) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Python programming and core concepts of Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
• Hands-on experience or academic projects utilizing frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
• Demonstrable interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern Generative AI techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile team environment with a proactive attitude toward learning.
• Basic knowledge of API integration and cloud-based AI solution deployment.

• Assist in the design, development, and training of machine learning and deep learning models using industry-standard frameworks.
• Support the implementation of Generative AI workflows, including prompt engineering, RAG, and model fine-tuning for enterprise applications.
• Execute computer vision tasks such as object detection, image classification, and video analytics for real-world engineering use cases.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient preprocessing of unstructured datasets including image, text, and video.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and translate technical insights into actionable reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Document model architectures, training procedures, and deployment workflows while adhering to Responsible AI and cybersecurity protocols.
