Software Engineer

Docusign is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join its development team in Bengaluru. The role is part of a team working on an architectural shift designed to support the company's next phase of growth.

The position focuses on building next-generation backend software and services that power Docusign's Agreement Cloud. The selected candidate will work with Product Managers and engineering teams to build and ship customer-facing solutions used by enterprises.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering. The role requires strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, the ability to understand existing systems quickly, and the ability to work effectively in an agile, fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Informatics, or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of development experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with RESTful web services is preferred.
• Experience with microservice architecture is preferred.
• Experience deploying highly available and scalable services on Azure is preferred.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle, including Git, build processes, testing, and code releases.
• Familiarity with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodologies.

• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant software systems.
• Write testable, high-quality, production-ready code with appropriate test coverage.
• Work with Product Management and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Provide engineering estimates for development work.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and release of products.
• Work as part of a cross-site development team.
• Evaluate and adopt technologies across different technology stacks where required.
• Solve complex engineering problems in a fast-paced environment.
