Software Engineer

You will be part of the One Infra team, building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers Microsoft Fabric Spark, Azure Synapse Spark, and Cosmos Analytics, operating at massive scale to execute millions of jobs daily.

• Associate's Degree or Apprenticeship in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 months of professional work or internship experience in software development.
• Proven coding proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check and ongoing security screening requirements.
• Foundational understanding of software architecture, security, and distributed systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to our inclusive company culture and values.

• Learn and write extensible, maintainable code while applying industry-standard coding patterns and best practices.
• Assist in debugging, testing, and proactively identifying system issues using logs, telemetry, and automated analysis tools.
• Support the design and testing of system features, focusing on performance, scalability, and security fundamentals.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality, uphold coding standards, and support peer-led development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partner teams to ensure seamless feature integration, end-to-end testing, and efficient deployment processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide customer support and resolve service-related interruptions.
