Software Engineer Intern

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join a team of highly talented engineers to build impactful, scalable solutions that power millions of businesses globally. You will own projects end-to-end, engage in technical design processes, and contribute directly to our production codebase.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge of computer science concepts and familiarity with programming languages such as Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, or Scala.
• Demonstrated experience working on multi-person projects, such as previous internships, open-source contributions, or significant academic projects.
• Proven ability to learn and navigate unfamiliar systems through independent research and mentorship.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders and team members.

• Operate as a full member of your team by actively participating in technical design, decision-making, and team discussions.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code that directly impacts Stripe’s business operations and users.
• Provide and receive technical feedback through rigorous code reviews and collaborative design sessions.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and incorporate feedback into your development process.
• Utilize modern AI tooling to accelerate development while applying sound engineering judgment to validate and refine all outputs.
